The standard for 3D printing metallic materials drafted by DPR had been published officially

On March 10, 2020, 24 industry standards of medical device and 6 revised standards have been issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Among them, YY/T 1702-2020 Dentistry - Additive manufacturing- Selective laser melting metallic materials for fixed and removable restorations and appliances was approved, which was drafted and developed by DPR New Materials Technology CO., LTD. The performance requirements and test methods for additive manufacturing metallic materials for fixed and removable restorations in dentistry are classified and specified in the standard, including those used or not used for porcelain, or both of them. It also specifies the requirements for packaging documentation, instructions for use, marking and labeling of products. The standard is applicable to Cobalt Chromium, pure titanium and titanium alloy powders for selective  laser melting processes. The official implementation date of the standard is 1 January 2021.
